The Jeff Short Big Swing Band & Singers

Our Big Band consists of 16 musicians playing 5 Saxes, 4 Trombones, 4 Trumpets, Piano, Bass & Drums,
Plus Jeff & Sue on Vocals. 

This orchestra is very good for that 'Special Occasion' but requires a fair size space or stage to perform on-around 28' X 15'

The Big Band has its own Lighting/Stands/and P.A. Systems. 

Our Big Band wears Colourful Evening Wear for Functions - 
or Authentic made to measure AAF Military Uniforms for 40's Style Theme Nights (as pictured above)
The vocalist bring showmanship and fun, to your night! 

This Big Band travels anywhere in the UK to play for 
PUBLIC DANCES - DINNER DANCES -- including CHARITY EVENTS - MASONIC & ROTARY CLUBS - PRIVATE BIRTHDAY'S - WEDDING FUNCTIONS ANNIVERSARIES - 'STRICTLY COME DANCING' THEMED NIGHTS AND WORLD WAR 2 EVENTS
For the latter, we can also supply a certain amount of Stage & Hall Bunting, including flags, posters & sandbags if required - plus Alf Cook as Winston Churchill to meet & greet!

The Big Band has a large library and specializes in playing Music for Dancing - Including 
Jive & Swing - Ballroom, Latin, Sequence, - Rock & Roll - Party/Pops & Ballads.

We play music to suit your occasion - In tempos that you can dance to!

A large number of  Big Band Classics are also available - from Glenn Miller, Arti Shaw, Count Basie & Benny Goodman to
 Ted Heath & James Last: with a varied pad of Latin American numbers from the Edmundo Ros library.
This repertoire also enables us to peform a fully staged Concert Performance if needs be.

We also have Party Pop Medleys, Jump Jive Medleys, Sing-a-Long Medleys and Show tunes of Today! 

So, even if you or your crowd don't dance much, they can sit back, listen to the band and enjoy the show!
We are also licensed to play recorded Dinner Music (at no extra cost to you) during any interval or buffet break -
or you can book our wonderful Pianist or Trio to play through your meal or supper..

Before booking any band it is alway advisable to check that they are fully insured.
Our Big Band has Full Public Liability Insurance through EQUITY & All electrics are P.A.T. tested & certified.

A new feature to our more recent bookings is that we are now able to offer a 'Dance Cabaret Spot' by championship level dancers for our
' Strictly Come Dancing' evenings.
